Small caliber hogs

Let me see if I can start the ball rolling on this one. One of my favorite things is hog hunting in Texas, which I invariably do with small caliber rifles.Below is a pic of an evening spent with my .17 Remington. Its amazingly effective when brain shots are taken.I use a variety of rifles/cartridges on them, but the .17 Rem is a stand out. What is everyone else doing with small calibers on hogs?

My buddy who lives in Texas swears on his .223 with 55 grain VMax factory ammunition. I haven't gone smaller than .243 caliber, but I can see how the .17 Remington would be a lightning bolt!

When I'm shooting hogs with a .223, which is most of the time, that 55 Vmax is one of my favorite bullets!
