I do know there were two different profiles for the 527 Varmint. The older ones had a larger profile than the newer ones. We ran into this issue when we at Varminter did a couple 527 builds in 22 Nosler and 224 Valkyrie

Yes they are. X39 and 6.5G are the same, 223 family (204, 17 Rem, 223) are the same. 221 and 222 are the same, 22/17 hornet are the same. Bottom metal is also different for each as well.
Thinking about that the X39 could be used for a PPC possibly
Does anyone sell the spring for the X39 magazine?

Not much to add, just that my CZ 527 221FB American is one sweet little critter getter and shoots almost as well as my HB dedicated rat rifles but weighs 2 lbs less. It was a sad day when these nice little bolt guns were discontinued.

I agree it was a sad day when CZ discontinued these rifles, they were available in left hand as well,q although limited to .223 and 204 Ruger. I wanted aL/H hornet although a .222 or 221 Fireball would have been nice.😊

As Rick said, the 527 is a fine addition to my own sage rat shooting line-up. I added a 17 Hornet Varmint version early on, and it shoots in the 1's and 2's if I do my part, factory barrel. The 17 Hornet is a challenge to load for, but it's made me a better reloader in the process too, worth it!

Do you have the maple stock version listed? I believe it was mainly a Canada release.
I believe it was in 2008 or so that Jim Saubier worked out a deal with CZ for I think 20 rifles in Maple for members. Some had great wood. I never good one though.
