Nice LH action.
Here's one of mine........an H&R 317P.....that uses a Sako L461 action.

Always wondered why Remington made a unique case for the 17Rem when they could have legitimized the 17-222,17-223,or the 17-222Mag. All of which pretty much can do what the 17 Rem can do. Guess they just wanted to sell something new and different. Kevin I'd bet you have a picture or two of a 17 Magnum laying around...
Although H&R did not make a 17 Magnum........O'Brien and Winslow did.
Here's a pic of an O'Brien 17 Magnum......with a few "embellishments".

I wish I had bought a few of these when they were available, it was one of the very few L/H actions the right size for smaller cartridges, much like the Sako, is that for sale
