I used this rifle to shoot three prairie dogs past 500 yards to get in the VHA 500 yard club back when it was still a thing. It's a 1.700" Nesika J with a Lilja barrel that's 1.500" at the muzzle. Unfortunately back then they only made 12 twist barrels, no such thing then as a 9 twist or 55 Bergers at that time. The 39 BlitzKing did the trick.Thank you for fixing the picture size issue Eric, this shot gives better perspective on how chubby that 27" long barrel looks.

Ok Matt....you call me out with your nice 20BR, with it's tiny "earth mover axle" barrel.😳
My Searcy actioned 20BR has a 10.0" twist K&P barrel, with a Vais muzzle brake.
The Berger 50LTB exits at 3950fps......and the 40VMAX at 4150fps.
On one trip, to the grasslands of the Texas High Plains, the 40VMAX connected with a pd at 792 yards.
Good times......🤠

That Berger 50 sure is a heck of a bullet Kevin! Kinda had trouble posting a picture that showed the barrel in all it's glory, not sure how you loaded such a big picture Kevin. 🤔 no issues over on 6mmbr.com ??

20 years ago I used N540 31.0 grains with any good 40 and the other day it still worked very well. In the future I will also try N140 and maybe even N150 as they burn quite a bit cooler. The plan is to go west again if only for a trip at least.
