40gn Vmax.

I've been having a good run with IMR 8208 and 40gn Vmax that a good friend @Kenbro sent me a while ago in my 700 in 222.
I've been hunting two fox's for a week now unsuccessfully in the evening so did a dawn raid today.
Got the dog fox at the 111paces.
The NV is struggling in the heavy mist so the video isn't much to watch.
NICE! I havent tried the 40 Vmax on varmints yet. Been using 40 gr NBT on hogs to good effect. I would think that Vmax scooting along at good velocity would be great on coyotes. Did it ruin much hide on foxes with the .222?

Hi, no, to be honest they don't seem to make a mess on the farm side . Some don't exit at all.
I use to use NBT years ago and they are very good too.
I would love to know how quick these are going. They are very flat!
I'm on 25gn of IMR 8208
Here is a crappy video of a crow . I think it's 230 plus yards.

Good to know on the foxes. Thanks! Ive been wanting to get a nice prime northern red fox here in Montana but havent yet. Shot a lot of grey fox in Texas,( see pic)but they are smaller and might be damaged by the Vmax, but I dont know having never tried it. I usually use a .17 Rem on them to good effect or a heavier stouter bullet like the 60 gr NBT slowed down, which also does no hide damage. Gotta try those 40 Vmax!
