Chronographs

I'm looking to get a radar type chronograph. I got 2 of the shoot over type and a magnetospeed.
Wanted a lab but it seems they have gone out of business.
Which one do you have and recommend?

I broke down and got the Garmin Xero, as it's very small, and you just have to set it next to you, and it's good to go. I have been using the Caldwell, and it's excellent for use with my phone, but has to be attached with a cord, and newer phones don't take the 1/8" mini-plug any longer. The new Athlon version is very similar to the Garmin, and a couple hundred less expensive, so I'd give that a look as well.

I have all three of the new smaller ones. Garmin, Athlon and Lab Radar. The Garmin is top of my list, because their app works very well. Second on my list is the Lab Radar. The LR gives a lot of information on the unit's screen, so you don't have to open an app, or get off the main screen to see details. Lastly, but best bang for the buck, is the Athlon. It will do everything the first two will do, but their app is still not good.

I really want the labradar LX but I cant find one. So I may look into the Athlon.
Garmin seems a little pricey, that's why I didn't get the big orange labradar one was the price.

I've used the Garmin Xero quite a bit. Its a real game changer. I presume the Athlon is very similar. I don't dwell on much of the minutae that many do, but when I get a load that shoots/groups well I like to clock it just to see....

I'm not so much on knowing what the speed is but when I do, I want it more convenient to use.
The shoot thru ones seem to have issues with the light or the muzzle blast moving them. Or you didnt get it centered good enough and shotguns dont chronograph well. The magnetospeed works well but is a pain to set up and use and it can change the POI while using it zeroing.
Now I can do handgun velocities much easier too.
