Interested in Custom Rifle Builds

Hello everyone,
I’m new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I’ve been getting more interested in custom rifle builds, particularly bolt-action rifles and AR-15 platforms. I’ve been reading through some of the threads here and there’s a lot of solid knowledge and real-world experience shared.

I’m looking forward to learning more about components, setup choices, accuracy improvements, and build tips, as well as following along with members’ projects. Glad to be here and looking forward to being part of the discussions.

Easiest first build if you want to put one together yourself would be a Savage build.

All you need is an action, barrel, and stock along with a few tools ( barrel vise $70, barrel nut wrench $50, headspace gauges for the intended caliber $100 ). Bolt heads can be swapped out which is a plus, and parts are plentiful.

My newest build cost me around $1100 not including optic.
Savage Action $450 or so.
Northern Shooter Supply 22 Creedmoor barrel and barrel nut ($450 shipped)
Grayboe Flagstaff stock ( $199 though I bought it on Black Friday sale)
