Introduce Yourself Here

Hi,
My name is Rex Bashaw. I like to shoot ground squirrels in Washington and Idaho. When I am in Nevada i mostly target shoot in the desert.
I don't shoot wildcats, but I do shoot the 17 Remington Fireball and the 224 Weatherby magnum, which require hand loading. I own most of the 17 caliber rifles, except for the 17 Remington.

Hoping this forum takes off! I'm an avid small bore shooter and have been for decades,Living in SW Montana I've had plenty of exposure to all kinds of game and geared myself towards varmints of all types as I got older. Presently I'm retired and spend a bit of time going back and forth to Texas for hog and predator hunting. ( And yes, I do the hogs with small bores :)) I've been fortunate to gain a lot of experience and like others I'm sure, a lot of experimentation with cartridges, loads and bullets.Hopefully I can answer some other members questions, and they can answer some of mine. Gonna try an experiment on this new forum of posting a pic...a hog from a recent hunt with the .223 and 40 gr NBT...

Hi Ricky Perry! Glad to see you here! I'll be running through your neighborhood in a couple weeks! I heard a rumor there were hogs in Texas that I haven't killed yet!

Hi.
I'm Russ Kaye. Originally from Manchester, England I'm now living on the west coast of Scotland, UK.
I've hunted prairie dogs in Wyoming, coyotes in Wyoming and Indiana and larger game in several states.
I've visited Badger Bob several times and always been fascinated with his small calibre firearms.
I own and shoot calibres from 22rf to 7mmRM.
I own a 5mmSMc built on a Rem700 action

Mark Drake from the Black Hills of South Dakota. My dad started me on gophers when I was 5 and prairie dogs when I was 7. I'm 75 now and varmint shooting has been my major pastime all my life. Most people can't believe how many rounds I've fired at prairie rodents over the years but let's just say the number is well into the six figures. I even got a few. I dropped the 17 cal over the last couple years(except 17HMR) because my old fat fingers have trouble loading those tiny bullets. I am firmly embedded into the 20 caliber. From vartarg to 20-250, I have several and have tried almost all of them.

It's a flash tube installed in the cartridge case to bring the primer flash to the base of the bullet/ case neck. This burns the powder in reverse compared to conventional primer ignited cases. A Google search will have more indepth descriptions. I have had great results with 30.06, 6mm-284 and 22-284 converted cases.

My name is John Andrews and I am a rabid squirrel hunter and retired from an Army owned (IAAAP) military munition facility as a patrol officer. I also retired my busy custom knife making shop of many years. My big game hunts are over, as well as for hunting people. I have also under my belt, years of licensed private investigation work. It paid more than my fulltime job!
