Here's a project I need to get back to and finish at some point. Started life as a 32h&r. Has a super short grip, shorter than a normal single 6. I have a bisley grip, hammer and trigger I want to fit up one of these days. I built the cylinder from 17-4 barstock.

Always thought a Bisley grip would feel better than the original on my 44 Super Blackhawk. Any one here made the switch or shot a Bisley Blackhawk? Nothing like busting a varmint with a pistol or revolver.

I haven't shot bisleys. This grip is even shorter than a standard ruger grip. It was made specifically for women and children in cowboy action shooting stuff. Its way too small for my hands

Or are you thinking of the single six grip. Bisleys iirc are for bigger hands.

I have been under the impression that the Bisley grip on a Super Blackhawk handled the recoil a bit better....

There is tons of recoil with a 17squirrel! Its violent.
