221 fireball

Bought this a while back on gunbroker from one of the dealers thst bought out a piece of remington after they went belly up. Its a 221 fireball. Action is shorter than an xp-100. Feeds just fine from the mag.

The larger bolt is an xp-100 bolt

Is this a Remington experimental, the s/n is strange, looks hand done.. Totally different from production 600 years ago.

I believe it is an experimental gun that never made it to production. The business sold a few guns that never made it to production. A left bolt xp-100 and a 22lr xp-100.

Im not going to make this 221 into a pistol. It may become a 20vt, 17fb, or 17 viper.

I didn't bid. Figured it would go for more than I would pay. And being left handed I like the bolt on the right side of my bolt action pistols!

That is a very cool find and to me I would appreciate more because of it's historical pedigree, being 221 Fireball is icing on the cake.
