Looking forward to being able to buy this bullet as a separate component. I think it will be a dandy for all the 12 twist guns out there and with a b.c. of .255 it will still be better than a lot of the old school 22 centerfire bullets out there. Looking forward to loading up a lot of 20 Vartargs with it.

Agree Matt. We've been waiting quite a spell for them to get this bullet into production.
Now I'm wondering if we'll see it priced like the VM, BT and Vdgn, as Sierra prices are pretty steep in comparison to other worthy varmint bullets. I like to spend a week+ at a time in the rat patch, but paying big bucks just to launch the rats is not sustainable over the long haul when the others do it just fine.

BUT.....in all my rat rifles, the Sierra's have always turned out to be the most accurate......dang!

We picked some up from their blem shop. They were fantastic in the .204 Prairie Enemy ammo, as well as in my handloads. I'm glad to see these hitting the market soon! Price is definitely an issue, when the Speer 39 grain HPs are $22.00 per 100!

Btw, we pushed for the .224 69 grain Blitzkings for years, which were just released. The .224 69 grain TGKs will be released after the first of the year, though I did pick-up some of those. They were spendy, for sure!

This 36 gr bullet just may be the perfect bullet for my 20 Jav Imp. Like Eric I stopped in, several years ago, at Sierra and bought some of their 39 gr rejects. They looked like the devil but after sorting and testing to 300 yds, they were minute of squirrel. Even the bullets with no tips. Those really opened up a squirrel.

It appears someone is listening at Sierra to what the varmint hunters want. I think the Prairie Enemy in 204 with the 36 BlitzKing was a step in the right direction for all the twelve twist 204s out there. While maybe not needed in the 204 it proved another point that all the smaller wildcat rifles and pistols out there could benefit from a Blitz King with a better b.c. and a bit more weight than the 32s but still stabilize better than the current 40 class bullets out there for twelve twist shooters. @Eric M what velocity did you find the 204 Prairie Enemy had while testing it with the 36BK? I'm glad they are offering it as a component and perhaps later a 48 BlitzKing in 20 caliber would make sense to them too. After all varmint shooters go through more bullets than deer hunters....

Were they superior to Bergers Rick?

Ken, I don't shoot Berger's for pd's or sage rats. They are best saved for use on coyotes. Now that I'm into geezerhood, I really don't go out for coyotes much any more, as the local teenagers have educated all the coyotes within a 100 mile radius of town here with their amateur calling attempts. And now with no bounty on them, the juice is not worth the squeeze for driving over 100 miles each way.

Sage rats, rockchucks and rouge jackwabbits are all fair game though. ;)

Sounds about right for many of today’s yoofs.
Thanks Rick, Ken.
