Wanted 223 magazine for a Remington 788.

A nice 788 followed me home from the Gun show last weekend. Very good condition and the accuracy is impressive. The magazine spring is too weak to to operate the last 2 rounds. I sure would like a good working mag for this rifle.

Take it apart and stretch out the spring so it remains @1/3 longer-taller? than its current height. Reassemble, go shooting. I have to do this on several older rifles with internal mags as well. Some day you’ll have to do it again.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that tomorrow. I would still like to get another mag.
