So a year or so back Nosler was selling 24 Nosler brass for $99 for 250 pieces.
I ended up buying 3 bags, 750 total pieces, to make a couple new rifles.
So i built one Savage in 224/24 Nosler and one in 24 Nosler.
Both shoot very good.
The 224/24 is a 12 twist for lighter bullets. Using 50gn bullets ,either barnes TSX for yotes and Noslers for Prarie dogs.
It has the same dimensions as the 224 Valkyrie but it has a rebated rim the fits 223 bolt faces. I reload using the 224 Valkyrie dies.
Also just used a 224 Valkyrie reamer for chambering the barrel.
Valkyrie uses the 6.8 rimless bolt face. Harder to find when building a rifle.
The 24 Nosler is a 9 twist. Shooting 70gn Sierra HPBT.
Ended up with that because getting 6mm barrels with the twist I wanted was impossible. None in stock and no one knew when supply would be refilled. Both barrels are Wilson's.
