Introduce Yourself Here

Howdy all,
My name is Ken. Brogden, I don’t know why, but it is!
I used to be a member of the other forum and welcome the arrival of this one.
Looking forward to learning some more.
Thanks for having me.
Ken.
Ps. I noticed Eric’s name so will hope he’ll resurrect some stubbing kits 😉

KevinG here........17's are my thing......since the early 1970's.

Along with DanC and RayH.......we were some of the first at Saubier.
We were actually old reprobates from the old varminthunters "green board".
I'll give Dan and Ray a call.......

Have 17......Will travel.
Kevin

I wonder if Rick from Oregon (RIO) is still shooting?
If he is he’s probably on some other American boards but I’m not on any others so don’t know.
Ken.

Lynn Rider here. I have been shooting the 17 AH for 20 years. Dabbled with the 17 Remington Fireball for a while. Also shoot the 20 VT, 204,17 VR and the 17 HMR. Hale from SE Colorado- outside the little town of Campo. Have lived in Pueblo and Pueblo West since 1979 but return to the farm to hunt deer and shoot prairie dogs and coyotes.
I hope this forum is as informative as Saubier was.

Hi Lynn,
Sure nice to have a small cal forum again.
Though George would be here by now!
Think he might have been having difficulty signing up.
Cheers, Ken.

Hi Ken, I've let him and a few others know the forum is here, I would've thought he would be here by now also.

George Dwight from Pueblo, CO. One of the longtime members from Saubier.
Signed up several days ago. Kept getting: "confirm your email" must have been 7 or ten times.
I gave up. Still have not rec'd the welcome message from the admin as was told about.
Seems there's some glitches in the setup.

Anyway, it's great to see this new forum, hope it can stay as many of us really enjoyed Saubier site
for over 20 years. Even better is seeing so many of the members from there.

Hi George.

I'm Ian from Dunedin, New Zealand. I was a member of the old Saubier site and used the same user name as I'm using here.
A buddy in Indiana got me interested in small calibers and Cooper rifles and I've also got a big interest in single shot rifles.
I also have a cartridge collection that started as a small caliber collection and still needs a lot of small caliber and wildcats additions

We lack the prairie dogs, gophers, rock chucks, coyotes, etc that you have in the USA but we do have a good number of rabbits and a few hares, they just don't do acrobatics like prairie dogs do when you hit them in the right place.
It's good to see you and other old members of Saubier's here.

Oh man, you're dating yourself (and others of us as well).

I haven't thought of the GGVG board in years.

Is MontDoug still around? I know he was getting on in years, and after Saubier's went down, I lost track of everyone except the couple of UK/Oz/NZ guys that are on TSD.

Hi, I'm an English shooter and fisherman.
Mostly shoot varmints at night with thermal & NV. I shoot a few deer every year, but not huge quantities, maybe 20-30.
My favourite small rifle is an Annie in .22 Hornet, made in 1986.
I enjoy reloading as well.
