It's Time!

I'm betting the 'constrained' excitement at your house right now is right up there, just as it was when we were kids at Christmas anticipating that first Daisy BB gun. ;)
Hey Rick! You said it buddy...the excitement is palpable and as you so aptly described it...it's as if Jolly St Nick is about to make his presents (yes, presents, not presence) known! (y) My excitement will have to wait about 10 days as today marks the first trip of our travel season with our fifth wheel trailer. We head to Cody, WY with plans to watch the Running of the Roses (aka Kentucky Derby) and make several trips into Yellowstone NP. We watch "the most exciting two minutes in sports" while seated in the bar of Buffalo Bill's historic Hotel Irma. There just might be a few Moscow Mules consumed as we cheer on our favorite steed! ;)

Since we're talking Coopers, saw this today on GunBroker.
Cooper 204 new old stock
Very nice Cooper in an excellent caliber. A great score for those that can afford it. Nice factory threaded barrel too. Was unaware Cooper ever offered that option.

I'm stunned at the prices these rifles are going for now. My Cooper M21 Varmint 223 was purchased used w/200 rnds through it in 2013 for $700. I couldn't replace it now for twice that much.

That rifle has sent more ground squirrels to alfalfa heaven than any other rifle I've ever owned. Shoots in the .2's...... A true keeper!

The threaded barrel protector doesn't look like Coopers style to me, the customer could have specified that. I envision Cooper would just match the barrel finish.

Speaking of expensive....
Cooper 4 gun 'matched' set.
Yeah, that's way above my pay grade.

For those with disposable funds, it's not really a bad deal, about 3k each for Cooper special order matched s/n's. Seeing as they're not made any more, someone will have a true rifle treasure.....just won't be me.

I haven't looked lately but I think it might not be easy to pick up a Cooper for under $1k anymore
