New Savage Build Ideas

So I find myself in possession of a new Savage 10 action (308 bolt face) and can't decide what I want to do with it. I've thought about building a 250 Savage with magnum sporter contour barrel in 1-7.5 twist to use a dual purpose rig. ( walking varminter/ Whitetail )
I've also thought about a fast twist 22-250 because I've never own a 22-250.
Feel free to comment with suggestions.

Another vote for a fast twist .22-250. With proper bullets it will do anything the 250 Sav. will do and make a good walking varminter/deer rifle.

Savage build in progress. McGowan 20-250. This will be my coyote rifle this year.

22 Creedmoor barrel should arrive tomorrow or Thursday. Brass, dies, bullets, scope mount, etc should be here Thursday as well. Hopefully everything will arrive around the same time and I'll be posting up pictures soon

I ended up doing my first (only) bolt action build, with a Savage action and 308 bolt-face. Made a 7mm-08 for deer and elk, with a Shilen barrel and Timney trigger. Turned out well, shoots excellent, it was a bit heavier than I realized it would be, for a walk-around gun. but it's okay. If I had another action lying around, I think a 22-250 AI would be a hoot!

Yeah, my 22 Creedmoor is a bit on the heavy side as well, but here in Ohio, we don't walk very far between ground hog mounds, lol

Well the 22 Creedmoor build was a success ( see attached photo), unfortunately I cannot upload a photo due to file size restrictions.
Build Notes:
Savage 10 ( tactical action) with AI bottom metal and a ridiculously over sized bolt handle.
Installed Savage Target trigger ( red blade, set at 1#)
Factory Accustock ( for now)
Shilen 1-8 twist cut to 24" standard SAMMI chamber.
Vortex Viper 4-16 scope ( older model I had on hand)
