Smallest Dangerous Game caliber

I have 3, one rimfire rated to 17WSM/5.7X28, 22 centerfire, and a 30 cal. I love them.

The process and prices in the US are stupid. I spent decades being threatened and harassed by Oregon Forest Service cops over mandatory silencers and spark arrestors on my off-road bikes at staging areas.

Suppressors should be an over-the-counter purchase exactly like a vehicle muffler.

End of rant. ;)

That said, with .204 Ruger's, suppressors should be mandatory from the manufacturer. 😁

With the ATF deregulation of many Obama B.S. laws, the $200.00 tax stamp gone, and the faster approval times, suppressors will be as common as a grocery store selling food.
If the manufacturers can/will scale-down building Gucci suppressors that are selling for $1,000 - $1,600+ dollars. Afterall, they're just mufflers to preserve our hearing and reduce sound pollution, not status symbols.

I totally understand not wanting to thread a classic and valuable rifle from the pre-suppressor era, I struggled with that decision on my Rem 17 Fireball commemorative edition. I ended up threading the barrel and have zero regrets, it so enjoyable to shoot and not worry about hearing protection issues.... pistols excluded.

PS - There is nothing worse to me than being next to someone at the range shooting a hot caliber with a muzzle break, while I'm attempting to do load development chores. 🙂
