22 BR Short.

I have a 22 BR short built on a Remington 700 action, I am wanting to rechamber it to a different cartridge. I was thinking 22 dasher, but am open to suggestions. Will be used for varmints.

Depends on how short your case is, rechambering to the standard 22 BR should clean up your throat. My 22 BR does about everything my 22-250 will do. I used a 12 tw and mainly use the 53 gr VMax.

I'm curious if it's for colony varmints or coyotes and if you want or need a repeater. Also what twist is the current barrel? Like Ray I really like the 53 vmax but you will want a 12 twist for it. Nothing wrong with the straight 22br but since I have a 20 Dasher and a couple 6 Dashers I would love to add a 22 Dasher to the stable eventually. I often toy with the idea of a 22 GT as it might feed a bit better. It's nice that we have very good domestic Dasher brass in 6mm that could be easily made into 22. So many choices
