I wanted to give a shout out for the great service I have received from Douglas Barrels. Last year I sent them my barreled action to be rebarreled. They completed the job and had it back to me in 4 weeks. The barrel was chambered in 17 Fireball and when I compared it with my factory Remington 7 with the same length barrel, the Douglas barrel shot between 100 - 200 fps faster with everything I tried in it. Also the accuracy was more consistent.
Fast forward to 2026, I recently got my first suppressor. At the time, I did not have my barrel threaded when it was at Douglas. I called and asked if they would thread it for me. They said they would so I sent it out UPS on Tuesday and would you believe I got a call on Wednesday saying they had received my barrel and "worked it in", and it was ready to ship back to me. The barrel showed up on my doorstep on Thursday evening. How is that for a quick turnaround?
