what do you consider the most efficient 17 caliber centerfire

17 AH by far - 12.2 gr of 1680 with 20 gr Vmax. Brass last forever also. Have 2 Coopers in that cal. Think Ian (kiwishooter) put a few rounds through one of them when he stopped for visit.
Jim was kind enough to let me use one of the twins in 17AH, if it had been left handed he wouldn't have got it back after putting it in my hands, I would've even traded my Bat for that sweet rifle if it was left handed:D
 
I'm a dedicated prairie dog shooter. My dad introduced me to the sport when I was 7 years old and I am now 75. I don't even know if I can remember all of the caliber and cartridge combos I've tried over those years. Fast and flat is your best friend in the prairie dog towns! Efficiency to me has to include enough speed to offer a flat trajectory. I would vote for the 17FB.
