Looking for some info on
17Fire ball /mark 4
20VT/
221 fireball

What is you C.O.L and bullet used

I have some info on my 20 VT reamer
And 17FB reamer
Just got me a 221 fireball reamer fom ukraine we will see how it work
Mostly worried about 221case and big bullet
I have a few mag box's left for rem 700 but I will probably try something new on this one I have way more equipment now days and good feeding fire balls turn me on!
 
Depending on bullet used, and freebore in the rifle, it will vary, but here's some info that I have used.

17 Mach IV
Nosler 20gr Varmageddon COAL 1.780"
Hornady 20gr Vmax COAL 1.778"
Hornady 25gr Vmax COAL 1.770"
Berger 25gr Varmint HP COAL 1.780"

20 Vartarg
Hornady 32gr Vmax Base to Ogive Length 1.480"

221 Fireball
Hornady 34gr FBHP COAL 1.720"
Hornady 40 Vmax COAL 1.830"
Nosler 40gr BT COAL 1.831" to 1.900"

Make sure you start with an action for Fireball length cases.
With Rem actions the 223 length action and the Fireball action have the extractor and ejector in the bolt indexed different from each other.
223 bolt drops a Fireball case before it gets to the ejector.
Not sure if Sakos etc work with both case lengths.

The Sako L461 action works fine with the fireball case.
Here's an O'Brien L461 in 17MachIV.
